The lowest point in the Netherlands

 It's 6.74 meters below sea level! That's about 22 feet.
 The monument reads, -6.74 n.a.p which means, Normaal Amsterdams Peil or sea level.

It was downhill, with a wonderful tailwind on the ride there.

Most of the ride back was the opposite.

I made it as far as the De Molen Beer Shop in Bodegraven- (They have two  Captain Lawrence beers!!!) and caught the train. 65k before noon was more than enough, especially with the wind in my face.


The trip (inadvertently) often followed the fietsknooppunten, so here's a link to the route, but monument is off the point system. It's not hard to find if you know where to look!
