Dutch words of the week

I'm learning more everyday.
It is a heel moeilijk (very difficult) language, as I've been told by lots of compassionate Dutch people with perfect English.

A few favorite words this week:

knuffelen = to hug/cuddle.
The 'k' is not silent... not to be confused with knoflook (garlic- the only other "kn" word that I know).
When someone says -would you like to knuffelt the katten?- they mean cuddle the cats, not give them garlic. This led to lots of merriment at the shelter yesterday.

vleermuizen = bats
Literally, nectar mice. Cute!
